Default How long did you have a crib mobile?

How long did you have one in your child's crib? My daughter is 15 months old and really liked her mobile but its broken. I am thinking of replacing it, but don't really know if she'll continue to get much from it.

We took it down long before 15 months as I was concerned about the kids trying to grab it (and breaking off a small part, since mobiles aren't made to be handled roughly by babies).

About 8 months, 5.5 adjusted. They tried to grab it, and I knew it was a matter of time until it ended up in the crib with them, or clunked them on the head.

I took it off when DD could pull herself up in the crib. i didn't want her grabbing at it and pulling it down ontop of herself.......or breaking off a small piece.

We replaced it with the Fisher Price Rainforest ______________________
It plays a light show and music (you can pick one or both) and is attached to the side of the crib, so she can't pull it down ontop of her or use it for leverage to climb out. It is still in DD's crib now.

Both my mobiles say to remove them at 5 months but DD is 6 months and still adores hers and cant sit up or stand so I lowered her mattress and left it up.

DS still has his and he is over 8 months. His crib is on the lowest setting and he cannot reach it (even when he pulls up to his knees).

i have the fisher price projection mobile. DS is almost 5 months and i'm going to remove the mobile part at 6 months or maybe earlier, depending (the mobile manual says to remove it at 6 months). DS already grabs EVERYTHING and already uses the bars & hanging toys in his activity gym to help him roll over and move around. he can't sit up or stand on his own yet but it's only a matter of time.

When he could sit up, around 6-7m. We have 3 crib Fisher Price toys now, like the Rainforest one, and love them.
