should I start PT??

My son had his second birthday in April. Two or three times a day he yells "tee tee"! and takes his diaper off and goes and stands at the potty. Sometimes his diaper is dry and sometimes I can tell he has just wet it. I don't want to push him but I want to take advantage of any opportunity! He goes through spells where he will come get me when he is dirty and then sometimes he will stay dirty until I discover it. Who knows? Any advice?

I'm only in the midst of this myself but I've definitely heard/read that there are a couple of windows where a child may get really into it and as a result be ready and "trainable" so to speak, and if you take advantage of those windows, it can definitely work, but if you wait and try outside a window, it can be a lot harder. DD turned 2 in May and initiated and has pretty much day-trained herself at this point. GL!
