2 Million Cribs recalled - Drop Down Side

I happen to browse on the Anastasia Crib (by DaVinci or Million Dollar Baby) 2010 model a week ago. I don't know what prompted me to check on the crib that my daughter sleeps in every night but I did. I noticed that the 2010 model does not have a drop down side and is now convertible to a full size bed for a lot less $$. We paid more for less feature and I e-mailed the company to find a resolution. I was informed today that DaVinci NO LONGER makes cribs with drop down side. It then prompted me to think, "why is it unsafe?" I remembered that there was a recall on cribs with drop down side and wondered if the Anastasia is amongst them. Lo and behold, today, June 24, 2010, there is a recall issued by 7 companies recalling their cribs. Please read more here.
