Default What to do with fresh lavender?

I have some growing in my garden and its smells so amazing.
I don't want it to just die there, so give me some tips please!
    thanks!

You could hang some upside down to dry it, then take off the ends (purple seedy parts) and put them into a sachet for your linen drawers.
    Lucky girl! I looooove lavender!

I have used it fresh in cooking. A little goes a long way & I usually mix it with sage & parsley. I've added it to pasta salads, ground meat for meatloaf or meatballs & omlettes.

We went to France and the house we were in had bunches of lavender all around the house (dried) it was very nice but a little messy.

I have a Cuisinart as well and I love, love, love this book. I've made tons of these recipes and they are great. Lots of variations on basic flavors and the sorbets are fantastic. I highly recommend it. There's a lavender ice cream recipe in there as well.
