Default Website recs for finding a nanny?

I am sort of in a panick, I work M T W and need to find a new nanny/babysitter soon. Does anyone have website recommendations for finding a childcare provider? Even possibly a SAHM. I've tried craigslist but haven't found much. Thanks!!!

care.com and sittercity.com are the two major ones that I know of.

I used care.com and really liked it. I don't know how sitter city works, but I thought care.com was run well. I placed an ad and was able to be very specific about what I needed. And I could see what days the caregivers on the site were available, how much they charged, and if they had experience with multiples.

You could also see if there is a local mom's group. We have one with an online forum and there are posts all the time about nannies available, families wanting to nanny share, families with nannies who need extra hours, etc. When I had to let my nanny go we found her a new job this way. Also you could check the local community college, they might have college students who are looking for babysitting jobs.

For a short term need, you could also call local home daycare providers and see if anyone does drop in care.

We found enannysource was more suitably oriented toward daytime care... Around here, at least, sittercity had too many people with evening babysitter hours... And no good way to sift through them. (That said, our search was over 18mos ago, so the sites might have changed.)

I've used sittercity and care.com, with good results on both, although I prefer the care.com set-up.
