Default Family resort New England/Mid Atlantic area?

Looking for a recommendation for somewhere to go in mid-August. We've been to Tyler Place in VT and loved it, but they're booked that week. Would like somewhere that has kids' activities (not necessarily a kids program), beach/pool, tennis, nice rooms, meals provided or at least on-site restaurant.

I've looked at some prior threads on here and nothing has jumped out at me. Any ideas? TIA!

The Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania. It's not exactly the location you are looking for, but it's a gorgeous camp on steroids. I was there once for work and was on mad crazy love with it. I had a 2 bedroom "cabin" that was a gorgeous and over the top that would be perfect for a family vacation if you can afford it. All sorts of activities. I believe it used to be the summer home for the Vanderbilt's or something and has the incredible wine cellar to prove it. They are amazing and family friendly. Here's the link to their adventure center:

We love the Samoset Resort in Rockport, ME. It's right on the coast and next to Camden. They have restaurants, a kid's camp/club, golf, tennis, running trails, health club, etc

My first thought was Chatham Bars Inn on Cape Cod. Not cheap, but gorgeous.

Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster, MA on the Cape is beautiful. They have a kids club. I'm not sure of the prices through the resort, as we rent a condo from friends. You can also search for condo rentals, I'm not sure of the site but I could look around if you needed it.

There also is a baseball clinic with the Whitecaps (minor league team) that seemed cool...not sure of the ages though. ETA: it's 6 and up http://www.collegebaseballcamps.com/...TOKEN=67128538

They have quite a few kids activities on-site besides the kids club: Daily arts and crafts, nature walk on the beach, smores

There are swimming pools, beach, golf, tennis, restaurants on property and close by that are convenient. Take a trip to Provincetown for a whale watch or to Chatham for shopping.

Chatham Bars Inn is gorgeous too...we went for lunch a few years ago.

Default I second the vote for

Woodloch Pines in PA. We've only been once, unfortunately, but I have friends that have been going for years. It's a true family resort with tons of things to do and the food is amazing!

Thanks for the responses everyone! A lot of these places looked great but given that it's a super expensive time of the year I think we're going to mostly "staycation" and maybe do a few days at the shore.

    To dream for next year...

If you haven't done so already and travel to VT isn't a problem, you might want to call TP and let them know you're interested in that week. They've been posting a few openings here and there on facebook. Something might open up.
