Wooden Thomas Numbering
I was looking at the recall for the Thomas trains from a few years ago. One of DS's trains started to concern me because the lettering wasn't listed as not being part of the recall. I called Learning Curve and the they explained to me about the numbering on the bottom of the trains.
The first three numbers are the day of the year manufactured and the fourth number is the year.
For example: 1389 = made on the 138th day of the year in 09.
I am so glad to know this for buying things resale. Thought I would pass it along.
