    Default Toddler/Adult Potty Seat

I am looking for a potty training seat for the toilet that is easily used by both a toddler and an adult. The toddler seat is inserted on top of the adult seat and can be flipped up and out of the way when an adult needs to use the toilet. This avoids the adult having to remove and set on the floor the toddler insert each time the adult has to use the toilet. I've seen them called "family seats." For example, Kohler has one that is called the Transitions Seat. There is also a Flip-N-Flush. Does anyone have any experience with these? I will be using it for potty training.

I'm potty training now and have something similar for our upstairs. I got mine from Home Depot, but it's the same as the one here:
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/prod...1&SKU=16897795 (Costs less at HD; I paid $29.99)

We also have the Baby Bjorn Toilet Trainer, which is one of those you need to remove and take off for an adult to use the toilet. We have this one:
    http://www.amazon.com/BABYBJ%C3%96RN...0174341&sr=8-1

I must say that the Baby Bjorn works WAY BETTER for potty training. It fits DS' bum better and has a raised section in front since he's still learning how to aim down. The Bjorn also sits flush with the main seat, which prevents "pee throughs."

I like the Bemis Next Step because it's easy for adults to use. The kid seat is actually attached to the top lid by magnet. But because of the pee throughs and DS feeling like he might still fall in (even though he won't) I wouldn't use it as my main potty training seat.

Some kids also don't like using the big toilet initially, opting for the little potty seats that you'll then have the transfer pee/poop to the big toilet. So you might need to get that too. Luckily, my DS only likes the big toilet.

    Good luck!

My ILs have one like this: http://www.amazon.com/Mayfair-86CP-0...f=pd_sbs_hpc_3

I really like it, and would definitely buy one if I could find one in almond. Theirs has a slow-close lid, which is great to avoid pinching someone...especially if you have a boy. It is way easier to keep clean than a toddler insert too.

We have the first one on 2 toilets and I like it a lot more than the inserts. Way more stable.

I wanted one (Kohler) but found that it was not too much hassle to hang the bjorn insert in the bathroom and let the DC decide if they want to use it. We use the 3m command adhesive to hang it. Never got around to getting the seat, so let us know what you think if you get it.
