I don't know if you want to go to an actual "attraction," but we have met friends before at Great Island Common in New Castle (right by Portsmouth). It's an amazing park on the water w/ lots of green space, playground, and beach as well. My kids are happy there all day- we bring a picnic and balls and stuff.
