Dh wore some weird backpack/messenger bag hybrid that I found at the Eddie Bauer outlet. It was small, like a backpack, but with only one cross body strap. Hard to explain, but it worked.
I don't wear fanny packs, but apparently the belt purse or hip bag is becoming slightly more acceptable. Fiona on Burn Notice wore one () and I googled and found some links:

This is my point about the Louis Vuitton fanny packs I have seen. On me, it would still look like a granny fanny pack, and not a high fashion accessory. Originally Posted by TwinFoxes

Just wanted to say thanks for the suggestion -- I bought one of the Overland Equipment donner bags for use as an easy diaper bag in the parks, based on this recommendation, and it was perfect for our Disney trip last week! It fit perfectly under the Maclaren and also was really easy to take out and wear messenger style when we went on rides, etc. Highly recommend!!!
