Actually at hospital and things are not going so well. But, I am very cheered that you all checked in.
So, in addition to vbac, group b strep and no progression to labor by 42 freaking weeks I got to hospital for a scheduled mechanical (balloon) and then chemical induction only to find out that the baby is now transverse breech, measured at ultrasound at 10.5 pounds and my ob could not get the balloon cath in after multiple attempts (and her fingers are freakishly, legendariliy long - - her hands look like a professional basketball player) because my cervix is totally posterior.
Now, we are trying pitocin to try to get the cervix forward and the baby un-breeched but of course on vbac I can't take in that much pitocin. If cervix moves I can then try balloon again or maybe the pitocin will work on its own. Also baby needs to come into the correct position - - OB was great about letting me induce with it transverse and she will try an inversion. OB and doula and dh have been wonderful and my nursing staff are great too.
After the past 42 weeks and the events of the past four hours that c-section is no longer seeming so undesirable to me!! That said, I am still trying for vbac and my ob is game to try (though also has explained the odds/complications to me).
Anyway, hopefully I will be posting in a couple of days with pictures - - and even more hopefully the ultrasound is wildly off and it will be pictures of a nice 8 or 9 pound baby!!
