I think I have settled on the Gotz 18 inch doll for Dd1. If I see clothes that say 'will fit 18in American Girl doll' would you it be safe to assume it will fit this Gotz doll? I have read some reviews about clothes not fitting some brands of dolls, granted it was the Our Generation dolls and perhaps they are thicker than AG/Gotz dolls.

gotz used to manufacture the american girl dolls, so i would say you'd be safe getting the american girl clothes or clothes made for an american girl for an 18" gotz doll

Yep, they should fit. That's one of the things I like about DD's gotz doll.
MIL buys DD the occasional dress at TJ maxx that has the matching doll dress with it, so that's the only form of 18 inch doll clothes we really have as extras. I have one or two things put away for DD's doll for Christmas too.Mama to DS-2004
