    Default Christmas 2010 -- girls

What are you getting your girls for Christmas this year?

I need ideas for a 6.5 yo girl (grade 1) and a nearly 4yo girl.

    TIA

I'm getting my 4yo a beanbag, a "real" guitar, Haba's Orchard game, some doll clothes and diapers and a membership to the local children's museum. I might also be considering a dog for the girls for Christmas but I can imagine that won't be a popular choice for most. LOL (My girls get something for both Hanukkah and Christmas.)

So far I have (in no particular order and not sure who I am giving them to):

    New Tinkerbell DVD
Pictureka (1st edition, didn't realize there was a 2nd edition!)
    Pictionary Jr
    various books
2nd/supplemental Scholastic DVD set from last year's amazon deal

    thinking about Blokus (sp?) game.

I'm a bit stumped on DD#2. Possibly some Ikea felt food, though I'm not sure we need that.

I dunno. This year feels kinda lame, KWIM? DD#1 is kinda in between -- not ready for big girl stuff, a bit old to be buying little girl stuff. DD#2 needs nothing as we got it all for DD#1....

    Sigh.

Oh, DD#2 is getting new ski boots, possibly from FIL.

I need ideas for DD! She has a birthday, then Christmas 7 weeks later. When asked what she likes, she says "Princesses and Ponies" but since we don't do character, princess is kind of hard... My ideas so far:

    Have:
    Clickstart Art Studio game
Puzzles & board games in the gift closet - probably will pull from these

    Ideas:
Finish decorating her bedroom (we've lived here for over 18 months already, probably time to do this!)
Maybe some Breyer horses? I have mine from when I was a kid, but not sure she is old enough to play with them yet
New dress-up stuff - she's outgrown a lot of the dresses recently
I'll make her some clothes for her Waldorf doll
Art supplies & new coloring books
Maybe one of those cute Etsy bottlecap necklaces posted here last year? Must find the seller again...
    ETA: found it http://www.etsy.com/listing/50764701...ll-face-bottle

DD turns 7 two weeks after Christmas, so my list includes ideas for both. So far:

    -Nintendo DS plus games
-AG accessories (she wants the braces, glasses, and crutches). No AG doll this year since she got one over the summer.
    -Harry Potter Legos
    -possibly new bike

She wants everything, but I really want to avoid bringing more plastic junk in the house this year.

    So far,
    - Spirograph
    - carrying case for Nintendo DS
    - couple of DVDs

Gosh, I have so many ideas for DD1 (6 yo) but poor DD2 (2 yo) has everything already. She is so much harder! I have a hard time not going over board but really try to limit gifts. Here are some of my ideas:

    DD1:
    Toy Story 3 Wii game
    Jessie doll
    Subscription to a kids magazine
    Leapster
    The first Tinkerbell
    Tinkerbell dolls
    Blokus game

    DD2:
Maybe felt food from IKEA but we totally don't need them!

No other ideas. She always just plays with her sister's toys. So, I guess I could get her some Tinkerbell dolls or something but she just seems too little to be buying that stuff already!

dd1 (7) will probably get a saddle for riding and some doll clothes. Maybe a pair of earrings/necklace and our old iTouch.
    dd2 (3) no idea.
