Need some ideas for a 3 year old boy!

I'm thinking of getting him some Imaginext toys, maybe one of the big sets. Oh and he's asking for a bumble bee Pillow Pet. Maybe some more puzzles, and a couple of Leapster games.

The boys at DD#2's daycare (and even the boys in DD#1's schoolage program) get a lot of mileage out of Magnatiles I haven't bought them for the girls for home b/c they can play with them at daycare. If they didn't have them there, i would totally get them for home.

My son is 3 too, and I have no idea what I'm getting for him. I'm hoping some of you will give me some good ideas. So far my only plan is to get him a Mickey Mouse calculator for his stocking (the kid is totally obsessed with the calculator I keep in the junk drawer in the kitchen).

I recently got him stomp rockets, and that was a big hit.

Seconding the Magnatiles idea We got them for DS' third b-day (in Aug) and they're lots of fun (for all of us ) I've already got some things stuffed away for DS as we came upon a store going out of business while on vacation. A few (small) Playmobil sets, a Plan toys garage, the Thomas roundhouse. Some books. Those are some big things so I'm probably close to done, but will be watching to see if there are any other good ideas that we need! Probably more puzzles, he's a puzzle maniac.

My 3yo loves Schleich knights and castle, Cars characters, superhero figures, Melissa and Doug food sets (especially the pizza and ice cream ones). He is also really into his tricycle and bicycle at the moment.

I do not think we will get much this Xmas. We are drowning in toys. Honestly, I do not want to think about it.

For my 5 1/2 year old boy:
Well I just bought out the Lego section of TRU so I gues lots and lots of lego. Some Buzz Lightyear PJs I bought on sale at the Disney store last spring and the Toy Story 3 DVD when it comes out in Nov. I'm telling aunties to get a few of the toy story toys he wants and then he'll have everything he has asked for.
