The idea of this thread in Sept. is hurting my brain. Stocking stuffers are picked up during those last Target runs in December.

The only thing I know I'm getting for DS in his stocking is a mickey mouse calculator (he loves calculators).

But, I'm really excited about the stocking stuffers I have for my mother and my sister. When I was in China a few months ago I bought them both sets of pearl earings.

"Someday, I am going to go to bed without toys on the floor and sippys in my sink. Things will stay where I put them and I can have nice, fragile items on display. But when I do, I will look around with a wistfullness in my heart and miss the days where vibrant imaginations ran wild and there was evidence of life happening around me all the time!"

I have picked up a lot for my 5YO DD:
    Small Lego Sets
    A sack of marbles
Giant Jacks and a bouncy ball

    Stuff I haven't bought yet:
I always include a toothbrush and an ornament (I think I'll do disney this year).
    Lip glosses/nail polish
    Hair clips/headbands
    Maybe a DVD - Toy Story 3?
Silly Bands if she still likes them
    arts and crafts

I also shop for 4 YO boy:
They had Star Wars Clone Wars pens, coloring books at Dollar Spot at Target
Some Imaginext stuff from Target Toy Clearance
    Small bagged Lego Sets
    Lego Series 2 minifigures

    Almost 2 YO girl:
    Animalz from last year's sale
    Finger puppets
    Maybe a small duplo set

    I usually do.....

    hair accessories
    lip balm
    candy bar/M&Ms
    Schleich type animals/figures
    toothbrush
    playing cards
    socks
    play foam
    microwave popcorn
    pencils
small games like Set, Scrabble Slam, Sorry Revenge, Blink, etc.

Our stockings are not that big compared to many of the larger ones I see in stores these day (which is a good thing IMO), so a lot of the things I see mentioned for stockings would not fit in ours.

What we have for our 4 yo DS

    -Toy Story 3 DVD (pre-ordered)
-Dolphin Ring Water Game – Just like my childhood one Dolphin Game
-Stepper Stilts – (I have to turn them upside down and the bottom lip of them sticks out of his stocking a bit. But, we have a long winter up here and I like any cheap toy that burns off some energy) Stepper Stilts
-Lego Toy Story Aliens Bagged set
-Dinosaur Egg that hatches in water
-I will definitely get a small amount candy

I picked up most of the stocking stuffers at a local Learning Express sale.

    Other things I am considering:

-Automoblox Mini or Playmobil figure to poke out top of the stocking.
-A small set of basic Lego blocks to dump into the stocking as filler – My DS Lego collection is very small. He needs some basic bricks.
