I had 5 weeks of preterm contractions with dd2. She was born at 36 weeks & change. DS (my next baby) was almost 39 weeks & dd3 was 38 exactly.

Lula came at 36 weeks, I just went into labor and waited too long to go in to get it stopped (I was poo-pooed by the on call OB, and was told I was over reacting. Ha! I showed her!) and with Dolly I got an enema and broke my water on her due date and she was born 4 hours later. The last month was H.A.R.D. Holy cow! Hard.

Both of my kids were preemies, but I went four weeks longer with DD (#2) than with DS (36 and 32 weeks, respectively). I was told it was likely I would go longer with the second, so odds are in your favor. Good luck!

My mom went 5 weeks early with her first (after pushing around a Grand piano during a theater production), then went full term (40wks to the day) with her second (me) and then 3 weeks past dates with her 3rd.
My mom won't let me lift a thing!
And I don't think that exercise ball had anything to do w/ a woman giving birth at 35 wks twice.

"You've probably heard the expression 'I believe in God, just not organized religion.' I don't think people would say that if the church truly lived like we are called to live. The expression would change to 'I can't deny what the church does, but I don't believe in their God.' At least then they'd address their rejection of God rather than use the church as a scapegoat." It's all about reflexology and for whatever reason it worked for me. A pedicurist had advised me of that when I was very early pregnant with the baby we lost, but I never got that far in the pregnancy so I forgot until that time I was getting it done and she was already half way done. Again what works for some people doesn't effect others.
I would still go for a massage before having a baby and any good pre natal massage specialist should know what to do and what not to do.
I was planning on going back for a pedicure at 39 or 40 weeks too.

I can no longer see my feet or comfortably groom them. I've been getting pedis every 3-4 weeks as I did with my other pregnancies...I had always thought that was a myth about labor and foot massage.

Thinking of you and hoping your LO will stay put for a few more weeks! Put your feet up and no exerting yourself. I moved a giant heavy trashcan the day before DS2 was born and really shouldn't have.

Thanks. I couldn't take it anymore yesterday and went for the pedi. I think the girl knew to take it easy (she doesn't speak english, so I couldn't tell her). She usually gives a really intense massage and instead went really light. I can't tell you how much better my feet look!
