how to clean silicone backwear?

MIL bought us a big set of silocone backwear. It is realy easy to use but hard to clean. Any tips for how to clean it? Right now I scrub it with warm water and dish soap till its almost clean and then put it in the dishwasher. This works but it is a lot of work. Any other ideas?

I just hand wash it. I like that you can soak it forever and not worry about it rusting. I had been doing the dishwasher sometimes but it really seemed to hold on to the detergent residue or something...one of may batches of mini muffins tasted and smelled like detergent and was ruined.
