    Default Blackberry stain on shirt?

I have a shirt with a blackberry stain on it. I tried scrubbing with Fels Naptha and washing it, but it is still stained. I haven't put it in the dryer yet. Any suggestions for how to get the stain out?

When a stain is fresh, boiling water poured on berry stains is very good at getting them out. It's worth a try even on an old stain. Best to pour the water a bit from a height. Do this in a sink with some space. The boiling water will splash and the shirt will be boiling hot after the water is poured, so be careful.

It depends on what color your shirt is, what fabric it is made of, and what the washing instructions are for your shirt. If you give me more info, I might be able to help (I worked for a dry cleaners for 3 years while in high school. )

I've done the boiling water treatment as PP mentioned, on most type of berry stains......

It seems to work best on cottons....

Very hot when done! Be cautious!

It's a cotton knit shirt. It's already been washed, but not dried. Would the boiling water still work?

I'd do a couple of times- do one round of hot water- soak in Oxyclean or Biz for a while (after it has cooled off!); assess- repeat with hot water if needed- I dump an entire teakettle of boiling water.... so it's a lot.

Oxyclean stain remover (the spray kind) works well for a lot of berry stains. Worth a try.

I pour vinegar on first and let it sit for a while. The vinegar seems to pull the stain to the surface and then I pour boiling water on it. My girls eat lots of berries and this has worked every time.
