Default How to clean items after exposure to mold...

Our furnace is upstairs in the attic. There was a condensation joint tubing that was not installed properly. Who knows when it came apart, but it caused a water leak in the area under it which is a storage closet. Most of the items are in plastic containers and cardboard boxes.

How do I go about cleaning it? Some of the stuff will be tossed. Is wiping the outside of the container enough or do I need to clean each individual item. I plan on either spraying with diluted bleach or using chlorox wipes. The items are mainly Christmas decorations, Legos and 3 large tubes of geotrax.

Any suggestions are welcomed. We did have someone look at it. It's no black mold, but still mold non the less. I'm really stressed out about it right now and hope that this will get taken care of properly by the original person who did the install.

I would clean everything, then leave in the sun. Nothing beats sunshine for killing mold, germs
