Default How do you clean your pet pillows?

Just bought DD a GIANT monkey pet pillow for xmas. It's been sitting on the shelf at Marshall. I want to clean it or vaccum it before wrapping it. How do I clean it? Obviously just spot clean it. But, what type of cleaner should I use? I figure DD will be hugging and sleeping all over it...just want to make sure it's "clean" before handing it over to her. Thanks.

Can you just throw it in the dryer on high heat? The heat should kill anything on it and any loose fuzz will get collected in the lint trap.

Yep, I threw the ladybug and pig in the washer and they came out fine. I used a high spin cycle to get out the extra water and then line dried them. In my experience, the only thing you can't wash are nylon butterfly/fairy wings.

Really? This is the monkey. It won't fall apart? Should I put on super duper gentle cycle? Yikes, I'm just afraid it will fall apart in the washer.
