Default Ideas in $20 price range 6yo boy

He likes to take things apart and put them back together again. He also loves his whiteboard and his markers (but his mother does NOT want any more markers in the house)

    He's almost 7

I thought his mother and I had agreed NOT to exchange gifts this year but just found out she got something for my son and so I feel I need to buy for her 2 kids. The 3 yo daughter is easier. I'm getting her some IKEA playfood (assuming I get back to IKEA before we see them)

Lego Brickmaster set. There is a Pirate set, a Castle set, a Star Wars set and an Atlantis set. Or one of the Lego board games.

Walmart has the Sklz pro mini hoop (goes on the back of a door or wall) for $19 in store this week ($21 online).

"Someday, I am going to go to bed without toys on the floor and sippys in my sink. Things will stay where I put them and I can have nice, fragile items on display. But when I do, I will look around with a wistfullness in my heart and miss the days where vibrant imaginations ran wild and there was evidence of life happening around me all the time!"

If they like sports and pretend play, I highly recommend soccer guys (football guys, hockey guys). They are by Kaskey kids - they get used just about everyday around here. I have two DS's 6 and 8.
