    I was 20. I was in college and felt ready at that point. I wouldn't have been ready in HS for sure.

    I was 25 or 26, but that is likely because I was with the wrong person and wasn't all that interested. If DH had come along when I was younger, I'm sure it would have been sooner

    So, for those of you who were 18 or younger, does that make you a bit anxious to think that your DCs could be that young? I know it does for me, esp since DSDs are 17yo and 19yo

    I'm more concerned with ds being with a good person and in a good relationship than the age. Of course, 17yo would be the earliest I'd want him to do it. I think, personally, I was too worried about that stuff and don't think it was all that big of a deal assuming protection is used, good head on their shoulders, good relationship... I'd much rather my ds be having sex than being a virgin but engaging in all sorts of 3rd base type stuff at an even younger age, which is what I think is happening more lately.

    19 here. Would have done it sooner but now dh wasn't ready.

    I was 15. I was too young, in retrospect, but I met my other half at that age....i imagine i would have slept with him if we'd met at 18 or 20 or whatever.

    I don't worry as much about them having sex young as I worry about them having sex when they're not ready. I wasn't ready and I wasn't responsible, I hope that they won't make those kinds of mistakes. I'm very blessed that I didn't pay dearly for my carelessness.
