With our big family we ussualy take the car(s)
We drive Hybrids, but still. I would like too use the cars less often, and use more eco-friendly transportation.

There is no public transportation close to our house (I think the only bus coming close to our house is our own)
And since we live in a remote area walking to the grocery store is not an option.

So DH and I are planning to buy bikes, good sturdy bikes that will last for years.
Most 'regular' bikes sold in the stores around here are cheap not very well made.
A friend gave us the advise to look for 'Dutch Bikes' and while looking online we found articles about the 'Bakfiets'

I just haven't been able to find an online retailer that sells a Bakfiets Trike, like this one: http://http://bakfiets.nl/eng/modellen/cargotrike/l/

Does anybody here know a reliable online store that sells a Bakfiets (the trike version)

I'm also looking for good bikes for my children (bikes that last through multiple children) what brand(s) would I be looking at.
