My sister is anemic, and has been taking Lybrel bcp to keep her (hellish) periods at bay. Now, for a few different reasons including her age, she wants to try one of the other recs her doctor made.
She's read a lot of nightmare stories about Mirena, but is nervous about ablation as well, so she's looking for some BTDT stories. She is definitely done having babies, so that's not an issue.

Two of my friends have done the ablation and rave about how great it is. Neither of them have periods anymore, with no side effects. I want to get it done too. I've heard mixed reviews about Mirena. Some love it and some have horrible side effects. I think if she's 100% sure she's done with kids, she should look into the ablation.
