We did fulls for each of the boys so we have more options when grandparents stay over

we actually did a queen in DD bedroom because we figured it would also double as a guest room when my family would come to town.

we are in a 4BR home but will have 3 kids. therefore, no guest room. we are getting a twin over full bunkbed for DS so DD will sleep in there with him when we have guests.

DH & I are going to go with a full after DD is done in the crib/toddler bed, for the same reasons as the PPs... better bed for guests. Also I think it will be a more comfortable size bed for her when she hits her teens.

We went with a twin bed. I just seemed natural. We already had a full size bed but it was occaisionally used for guests. We plan on getting a twin for DD2 also.

If DD's room was a tad bigger, we would have gone with a full (or more likely a queen). Better for guests and friend sleepovers.

Full bed. Can double as a guest bed plus you will be comfortable if you have to lay down with your DC.

This--and DS's crib converted to a full bed, so we unknowingly made this decision before he was born!

We did twins because we have a separate guest room/office already. In hind sight, 2 doubles/queens might have been better because we inevitably end up laying down with the girls.

Full. We love being able to stretch out and read with all the DC on her bed. Not so much on DS1's twin. We look forward to when we can do the twin over full bunk think in their room (3 years from now!) because we'll have a place to stretch out in there too. DH likes napping on DD's bed on weekend afternoons.
