    I used Rick's Special Buttercream recipe from Allrecipes.com. I subbed butter for 1/2 of the shortening called for. It's not quite as tasty as some of the longer-prep cooked frosting recipes but it holds up very well for piping. I tinted with Wilton gel colors.
