Another vote for Great Beginnings. I bought my older DD's twin bed from Target because I just assumed Great Beginnings would be too expensive. When it came time to purchase younger DD's bed, I was surprised at how much Target was charging for a full bed! I went to Great Beginnings and was pleasantly surprised at their pirces.

Procrastinated a little while, then went back to GB to finally buy a bed. The bed I was considering was now discounted because a new model came in and they gave me an additional $50 off because there was a crack in the one leg (the bed is completely fine and you can't even see the crack).

Long story short - the full bed I bought from Great Beginnings was cheaper than the twin bed I bought from Target - and nicer!

I'm a big fan of GB and especially their clearance items!

Do they have an online location I can order from, or are they just brick and mortar?

We bought DD1s from Bergstroms Baby store in Orange County, CA. They are from Raymond Oak and I would not buy them again. Not horrible, but not the best construction either. While I don't have much nice $$$$ expensive furniture in our house DH and I have already said that when we buy DD2 her bed in a couple of years we will most likely splurge on Ethan Allen or Stanley for twin beds that will last the girls (ie: we will also get another bed for DD1) the rest of the time that they live in our house (or longer, DH's child hood Ethan Allen bed is in storage somewhere and will most likely be used by BIL for DN).

Dd1 moved from the crib into my childhood Ethan Allen bed. When Dd2 was ready to move out of the crib....we built Dd1 a bed and dd2 now has the EA bed. I would look on CL, maybe build (hmm hmm?), outlets for better furniture stores.

They don't list their furniture online. You have to go in.

Also, it is very worth it to check out their clearance section (their beds on clearance will be out with the rest of the furniture--just very clearly marked down). Although you can get good prices on other single pieces and on bedding in their clearance section.

DS has the Ikea Hemnes twin bed in Black-Brown. DD's bed was made by a friend using the Farmhouse twin bed plans on Ana White's Knock off Wood website. Her bed weighs about 3x as much as DS's!

Cute bed. Do you mind sharing an approximate cost?

Between $600 and $650, for headboard/footboard, side rails and slat roll (see link). The bed + slat roll can be used with either a mattress only (which is what we've done so far) or with a mattress and box springs.
