Why cant I size my avatar correctly?

I have tried this about 5 different ways now. Mine is smaller than everyone else's so you can't read what DS' shirt says. I used uploading, shutterfly, and flikr. I cant seem to get the size right, its either way too small or way too big.

The max size is 80x80 pixels. I usually copy the original picture then crop and resize using software on my computer so the maximum dimension is 80 pixels. Maybe crop your picture so that shirt is more of the frame (make it more square.)

ETA: it looks to me like your avatar is about the same number of pixels high as mine. I'd crop his cute little baby legs if you want us to be able to read his shirt.

Thanks snowmom, I cropped it a bit more and manually set the pixels. I wish you could read that it says "wolfpack" just cause I thought it was silly since thats my username...Im a dork.

"Wolfpack" was the first thing I thought when I saw it, and not because of your username. But, to be honest, I did second guess it since I thought it might be a last name. It almost looks like "Volpach" or something to me.

Are you sizing it while maintaining the aspect ratio? If you turn that off, you should be able to stretch it horizontally. It'll look a bit out of sorts since you'll be sizing it disproportionately, but it might make the text easier to read.
