DS is 9.5 months and EBF. I keep expecting my period to return, especially because solids are increasing more and more. I have been pumping 3x/day at work for many months, just switched to 2x/day. Also nurse in the morning and evening. Don't get me wrong, it's been nice to have this year and a half period-free, but I do wonder when to expect it, also for thinking ahead to Baby #2...

I ebf and just got my period back at 10 months postpartum. It really varies by person.

I have the opposite problem. I would have loved it if my period stayed away longer. Mine ALWAYS comes back around 3 mo postpartum and my babies have never had formula, so they were EBF.

DD was 13-almost-14 months old when I got mine back.
She is still nursing; I drink Mother's Milk tea or take fenugreek capsules while I'm bleeding to counteract any supply dips.==========================================

Both babies EBFed.
DD 1 - came back at 6 months! Right around when I went back to work and started pumping more during the day rather than nursing during the day
DD2 - is almost 13 months and it's not back yet...
ETA I think I friggin' jinxed it. Yep, I think AF will be making a return fairly soon...but 13 months is a good length of time, I guess!Last edited by citymama; 06-02-2011 at 04:35 PM.

With DD1, I exclusively pumped and was on the mini pill, and honestly I can't remember when it came back. A couple of months I think.
With DD2, I nurse exclusively (and pumped because I had a HUGE abundance of milk) and my wonder cycle returned at 5 weeks post partum!!! No joke. I was so P!$$ed!!

i bf my 1st 2 for 2 years each
w/ DD1, it came back at 6 months
w/ DD2, it came back at 4 months
my twins are almost 7 months old (1 is only bf, the other nurses roughly once a day & i pump about once a day for her) & i have been lightly spotting off and on since the weekend like it just can't decide
