Default Is Britax Boulevard FAA approved?

Title says it all. We're going to Orlando next week. We have a Britax Boulevard CS and a Frontier 85. Since airlines doesn't allow boosters I thought I'll take the Blvd. How can I check whether its FAA approved? And whether it'll fit in the airline seat?

You might want to re-post this in the carseat section. I bet some of the experts there could help!

Only the Parkway Booster and the new B-Safe infant car seat are the ONLY Britax seats NOT certified for air travel.

All other Britax seats ARE certified. The Frontier 85 is certified for air travel in harness mode only.

So, to answer your question - yes it is.

Where you use the 5pt harness belts that come with the seat, rather than as a booster which requires using your car's seat belts.

Chances are you can take the Frontier (others need to chime in here on this one) because you can use it with the 5pt harness. Planes don't have shoulder straps on their seat belts, which is probably why they don't approve of boosters (just my guess - I'm not for sure about that).

Most car seats on the market today are FAA approved, like others explained, booster seats are not, the Britax Regent (a very large harnessed seat) is not either.

I'd be interested to see a list of seats not FAA approved.

    The BLVD will fit though.

I took a boulevard onto a southwest jet to go to orlando a few months ago. no problems. get to your gate extra early and let them know you'll be installing the seat...if they can, they'll let you board earlier so you have time to get it in there before the plane's full.

Yes, it is approved. We've taken it many times, and on one flight I saw a flight attendant take away a non-approved booster.

There should be a sticker on the seat somewhere, if they check, show them that.

Yes it is. Not the most travel-friendly seat, though, since it's heavy and bulky, I fly often, and mostly alone with DS so I bought a lighter seat for travel.
