Nope. Just got the basic bike and all is well. Although I did come home one day to find that DH had strapped DD's doll to the handle bars (in a box a la ibert kid seat style)...um with rubber bands.
Other than that we have made no changes.

No, don't bother it is all unnecessary. The Strider alone is awesome.
