    Default American girl books?

anyone read them? Not referring to the historical ones.

Looking to get a few of them such as the: taking care of you, the feelings book.

    Would appreciate your thoughts. TIA

I have not read them, but another mom friend has highly recommended the Taking Care of You book and it does look pretty interesting. My oldest DD is 6.5, so a little young for it at this time.

We have the friends one, an art activity one, and the I can Do It book. There are very good. We got lucky and got the friends and I can do it book for free at one of their reading events over the summer. I would recommend them.

I think they are terrific. But I think the age ranges on them are definitely for the subject matter and not the reading level. So something like, for example, The Care and Keeping of You is definitely aimed at a girl who is imminently approaching puberty. It has really specific information on bras, periods, how to insert a tampon, etc.
