    Default Affordable clothes for Calin

Thanks to y'all, Sprog's one and only baby doll is Calin (aka "Zoe" in our house). This one, if you're interested:

On a side note: wow, she's spendy now! Must have been discontinued or something.

I'm putting Sprog's Amazon wish list together and I think she'd really like a change or two of clothes for Zoe. But dang, the Corolle clothes are expensive!

There have been threads about this in the past but I know products change quickly. Have you found any less expensive but reasonably decent doll clothes to fit 12-inch Calin?

Or maybe I'll ask my sister the seamstress to sew some...

I say go ahead and get the corolle I have tried several and everything else is pretty much junk. I love our corolle clothes we have, the materials are beautiful and the styles so cute. We have these two:

I ordered custom dresses in a cute print off easy back when they had alchemy requests. Love the outfit so much!

i agree-- go for the corolle outfits... especially if you are only looking for a couple. we have TONS of doll clothes (and real preemie clothes for the dolls...) and corolle are handsdown favorites. easy to put on, SO very cute (we have the orange outfit too-- LOVE it) and really well made.

for the 12" size they really are the only option in my opinion.... it can be so frustrating for younger kids to have something "difficult."

i don't think you have to pay corolle prices for everything (yes, corolle swing that frustrates ME i'm talking about YOU), but for clothes... i'd do corolle!

Yeah when I pulled up the clothes on Amazon, it also pulled up all the accessories. The Corolle accessories all look like generic junky plastic. I was surprised because their dolls and doll clothes have so much style.

    I especially liked this:

    and this:

Both outfits look just like how I like to dress Sprog.

I just got that overall set for our boy Calin. I got a boy one for my daughter when her little brother was born and while he is hit, it sure is hard to find boy doll clothes. I was psyched when I found that outfit because I feel it's quite gender neutral. Plus we love giraffes around here. We also have this mint one-piece http://www.amazon.com/Corolle-Premie.../dp/B0013E9NVE which was definitely cheaper when I bought it.
