deals on summer clearance items

the other day at TJ Maxx i found Thomas the Train toddler sandals for 50 cents!! They were the last pair, and just happened to be in DS's size (5/6). I think orig price was $5.99 and from the price stickers it looked like they were marked down several times as the summer went on. I know summer's nearly over, but for 50 cents, i had to get them. DS was ecstatic when i showed them to him and wanted to wear them immediately, LOL!

anyway, feel free to share of any smoking deals you got on summer items. i heard CVS has a ton of summer stuff on clearance but i haven't been there yet...i don't usually buy stuff ahead for next year, but with some of these prices, i just might. a lot of stores near me tend to be already out of summer stuff though, so it really varies.
