ETA: We have the Faber-Castell pencils here, but only a few since they came with a craft kit. I haven't tried the brand above yet.

I'm still building my list, so your suggestions are awesome.

    DD1
    Watercolor pencils
    cute toy erasers and sharpener
    toothbrush
    Ubsborne travel activity cards
    Hanna mocs
    candy cane

    DD2
    Little people toy car
    Pipsqueaks marker set
    sparkly ball
    toothbrush
    Hanna mocs
    tangerine

    I need some more!

Their presents are going to be simple: Hanna PJs, books (many!), stuffed toy poodle for DD1, and Boden tee, books (many!) and Duplos for DD2.

For younger kids (5 and under ?) I really recommend Crayola No Drip Watercolors. They really are easy and no mess. I let DS3 use them since 18 months or so.

"Someday, I am going to go to bed without toys on the floor and sippys in my sink. Things will stay where I put them and I can have nice, fragile items on display. But when I do, I will look around with a wistfullness in my heart and miss the days where vibrant imaginations ran wild and there was evidence of life happening around me all the time!"
