Probably learned it some time in high school?

Incidentally, there is a board game called Quelf and it was a prize at an all-ladies holiday party I attended last year. It was the talk of the evening and the most sought after prize in Yankee Swap based on name alone.

Not until right now. I was educated plenty in college and at work though. I went from high school where I had never heard anyone curse out loud to college. Um.

Totally off topic, but Quelf is a hilarious game. It goes well with a few adult beverages.

I heard it for the first time when I was a senior in high school. I don't think I've heard it since then!

Well it's not really cursing, to me. Just slang. Like saying 'poop' for excrement. And I also don't mind if guys are familiar with the concept so it isn't something the woman has to explain from scratch if it happens during an intimate moment....

When I was pregnant with DD. I experienced it for the first time and was pretty sure that something was terribly wrong with my pregnancy. I tried to self-diagnose on the internet (thank god!) and came across the word. I went around enlightening a lot of my friends about the word :-)
