    Default Preparing for a 1/2 marathon any food or mental tips

    Three weeks from today I'm running in my first 1/2 marathon so I was wondering if anyone had any mental or pre race food tips. It is a course in my town so I've been running portions of the route to prepare myself mentally a bit but if anyone has any other words of wisdom on psyching myself up not out. The race starts at 7:30 am so any tips for what to eat in the morning or during the Friday & Saturday before would be appreciated. It's a hilly course.

    I did one a few years ago. Eat on the lighter side the morning of the run and not too close to start time. Try to get a good nights sleep the night before and just keep reminding yourself you can do this you are prepared. Let us know how it goes.Good luck and congrats!!!
