    Default Hanna Andersson questions

I was thinking of getting this: http://www.hannaandersson.com/style....simg=38362_A96 (Lapland sweater set) for my DS to wear at Christmas. He'll be 5 months old. He's tall (95%) and skinny (45%) for his age. Should I get the size 60 or size 70? I'm worried if I get the 70 the pants won't stay up.

I was also thinking of getting the matching sweater for me...I know, it's hokey, but it's such a short amount of time he will tolerate me doing this to him! Does Hanna make the same patterns year after year or no? Would I be able to buy him a toddler outfit next year as a 17 month old?

How tall in inches is your DS? That is what you need to go by for sizing. My DD is tall - 80% and is 28-29 inches and still wears her 70s to give you an idea.

Hanna will make similar patterns in the same style year after year for the most part but not the same exact pattern from what I have seen.

    Thanks!

So if DS follows his curve, he would be ~27 inches at 5 months...so should I get the 70s? The size chart says 60s are 22-26 and 70s are 26-30. At least then he'd be able to wear it the rest of the winter too. I guess I could always put a little stitch in the waist if it's falling off...

The fact that the pants are cuffed helps..bc even if your DS is a little too tall they will still fit. To give you an idea, my DS was 34" inches at 18 months. The size 80s say they are for 30-34" tall. Yet now at 22 months (i'm sure my DS is 35 or even 36 by now) he can still wear the Hanna wiggle pants in 80. And he can wear them with a cloth diaper (really bulky)

Also, does your DS have long legs or mostly a long torso? With my DS (95%ile for height, 25%ile weight), he mostly has a really long torso (he can't wear onesies anymore). So two pieces lasted a lot longer.

My DD was able to wear the size 60 wiggle pants until she was maybe 7 months. They look similar to those pants. Though the soft landing pants in 60 were too short then (those aren't cuffed at all).

and Hanna makes similar collections every year, not the same, but really similar.

Last year I got DS a grey vest from Hanna and then I wore a dress from matching collection for holiday pics. Not that hokey! I think it'd be cute for picture.

Also, this year DS will be wearing red Snowflake vest (from Hanna) and DD will be wearing Snowflake dress, but her's is from last years collection (see my other thread on holiday outfits). It's still close enough to match IMO.

Thanks! Ok, I ordered the 60s...it sounds like as long as they are long enough he will still be able to wear through the winter. Some of his NB pants still fit around the waist but look like capris

Bummed, though, the women's sweater says estimated shipping on 12/20. I will cross my fingers it gets here by Christmas, but I had my heart set on it...
