As soon as I wash dishes (even with gloves) I use a little olive oil. Its right there in the kitchen and I don't have to worry about washing my hands again if DD wants a fruit or another snack just after I put the lotion on . Works great!
L'occitane (20% shea butter hand cream) or Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy.
I have discovered that no amount or kind of moisturizer will make a difference if you don't wear gloves to wash dishes. Dish soap is extremely drying to the skin. If I get lazy even one time and not use my dish gloves, I pay the price. You must be religious about it. This will give your hands time to heal and for whatever moisturizer you use to take affect.
Good luck, cracked/dry hands are no fun.

I use Cetaphil, the pump version from Costco, but I do wear dish gloves. I used not to like to wear gloves for washing dishes, but my hands were getting too dry.

Agree with wearing gloves, plus I use "green" type of dish soap - love the palmolive clear one. It's very soapy and lasts 4 times longer than others. I have the gloves, but don't put them on every time I need to rinse a kids cup or something...
Love gold bond lotion, and anything with shea butter, Lots of great suggestions here in the thread, I made a shopping list now
The Body Shop - Vitamin E Hand and Nail Treatment.
Also use Gloves in a Bottle on DD1 when her hands get really dry.
