    Default Toddler bed recommendations?

Our child refuses to sleep in his crib. He's been sleeping in our bed for the past few months. He'll take naps in our bed by himself with no problems- but we're obviously worried about him falling out. We're looking to get him back into his room and want to get him his first bed. We want something very low to the ground so he can get in and out without falling. I'm not sure if we should get a twin- or does anyone make a little bed frame to use out Serta crib mattress and sheets?

I checked out Ikea, but wasn't 100% sold on their child beds.

Our old neighbors had the same problem and just set up the crib mattress on the floor and their son started sleeping there. I thought most toddler beds actually do use crib sized mattresses but I could be totally wrong on that.

Ah ha- doing some research it looks like out baby-bargain recommended Graco Lauren Classic crib can be converted to a toddler bed. Now to find that manual...

We think that as long as the kid can climb in and out of his "bed" as opposed to being in "jail" that he'll actually sleep in his room again. Here's hoping....

Great. According to these directions you just need to remove the front panel.

Yup, that was easy. Saves me a few hundred dollars.

I know it looks like you found a solution already, but I wanted to say that we love my daughter's twin MALM bed from IKEA. It's not a kids bed per se but I didn't like any of those. It's very low to the ground and awesome. Unfortunately it only seems to come in black or white now as a twin. We have the birch veneer and really like it.

We also have the toddler bed, a queen and a full IKEA low platform bed and really love them.
