Default Really Direct TV? Porn 2 channels from Disney?

Who does the effing channel programing for them anyway? Can I just say how completely grateful I am that my kids don't read YET? We just got Direct TV in our newly rented house and when you hit the guide button they have the porn channels TWO numbers from Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Disney, etc.

And the titles of the porn are exceedingly descriptive. Eeeeeeeeeeew!

There should be a way to block the titles. We did that last year when my oldest was in 1st grade. I completely get your complaint. Last week my 3 youngest watched Tangled on a Starz channel and left the TV on when they came into the kitchen for lunch. When I went in to close it, the movie that followed it had some guy masterbating while he watched his neighbor nurse. Ewwww. So glad my 5 year old didn't see that.

There's a setting to change it to just say Adult Programming. We did so with Directv and then with our new provider, though it took some digging!

That's what I thought, plus it was 11:30 am on the day before Thanksgiving. I was busy cooking and it never occured to me that I should be worried about what might be coming on next.

You should be able to create a favorites list on the guide that only has the channels you actually watch. Mine excludes all the porn channels, shopping channels, "news" channels, etc...

For Direct TV you can do ALL channels, Channels you get, or customize your channels which is what we do. I don't like the shopping networks, or most of the news channels, or the paid programming channels, but I get them, so I customize my list and delete those.

Ugh!!! Terrible! We have this with our cable provider and I called about blocking it somehow and was told there is no way. Then I asked why in the world the channels are in that order and was told that the companies pay for their spot in the line up. Really frustrating!
