Posting at the same time. So a medium might work? She's just so tall for her age (43" last time we checked) and I am always buying bigger...

Hmmmm, in that case I think I might go with a large. We don't have ours yet but my DD is about 41" and I got her the medium which I am hoping she won't outgrow right away. I considered large but since the dresses look floor length I didn't want her to be tripping all over the place (she does enough of that with those darn princess heels!). I measured her height from shoulder to floor - the site suggests doing it that way, or just subtracting 7-8" from height. http://www.littledressupshop.com/sizing. Your dd is even more on the cusp between sizes than mine, which is why I'd lean towards large.

I'll measure her shoulder to floor tonight. Thanks!

If you make her a wig to go along with it, I don't think it'll matter what the dress or nightgown looks like!

Only her birthday party, then her birthday, then Christmas (and DS's birthday three weeks later). Oh and my Etsy shop and the fact that I have hand foot and mouth that I caught from HER! She is lucky I am even buying the costume!

The wig is a cute idea though. Maybe in the spring.

I measured; she's just about 35" from shoulder to floor. Size medium is for up to 36".... this is difficult. I don't want her to trip on it but I guess I could always hem it and then take it back out later?

I know a lot of people here love thelittledressupshop up but my DD who is very into Rapunzel would never consider that a Rapunzel dress. Your DD may feel the same way, if she is into the Rapunzel from the movie Tangled. Most of their dresses look enough like the Disney version but IMO Rapunzel looks nothing like the Tangled/Disney version and if I tried to pass that off I'd have a very disappointed little girl.
