    • Leapfrog tag jr
    • Jingle pup (book with plush dog that responds when read the story?)
    • Dora the explorer DVD (but only because he has no idea what a DVD is... he only knows Dora comes from the TV! hah!)
    • Coloring book
    • Bert and Ernie kid k'nex

    Misses:

    DS is 20 months old.

    Huge hits:
    -Discovery Toys Castle Marbleworks (a ball run toy)
    -Wedgits starter set (although FIL thinks the white pieces are too sharp)
    -Plan Toys Clatter instrument
    -books (always a sure-fire hit): Oliver Jeffers board books; Each Peach Pear Plum

    Sorta hits:
    -Ybike Pewi--hasn't really figured out how to scoot with both feet, but likes walking around with it
    -Leapfrog Fridge Phonics--really likes it, and is already imitating letter sounds, but gets frustrated after a few minutes and throws the letters and the box all over the kitchen
    -Educo letter puzzle--too many similar-shaped pieces (eg the 6 and 9 are similar colours--doh!)

    Misses:
    -Hape Magnetic mosaic--put away until later; DS doesn't mouth toys much but I am not taking the chance on magnets. Sure he'll love it when he's older though

    Now we just have to spend some great-grandparent gift money. I'm thinking Playmobil 123.

    DD was 21 mo's at Christmas.

    We left for AZ in the afternoon, so she didn't really get much of a chance to explore/play with her new things 'til we got home.

    Fabulous reaction but we haven't opened it to play with yet:

    * Thomas the Tank Engine wooden railway starter set (Thomas, Percy, Caboose and a small track)

    Anyway, hits right off the bat were:

    * PBK Anywhere Chair (from ILs)
    * Little People Farm playset (from my sister)
    * Sock Monkey (from BIL/SIL)
    * hand-me-down iPod Touch in Defender case (from DH)
    * Father Goose blocks (2 sets - one from ILs the other from cousin-in-law)
    * Hide & Squeak Eggs (from brother & SIL: http://www.amazon.com/Tomy-TY1581-Hi...5873602&sr=8-1)
    * Raggedy Ann & Andy (too bad these weren't for her! They were gifts for DH's cousin's twins!)

    Meh reaction but later hit:

    * Sesame Street Elmo/Zoe toy purse (from my dad & his fiancee) - I took this with us on vacation to keep her amused on the plane if she didn't fall asleep, but she played with it at the ILs'
    * Sturdy Stool from Nova Natural (http://www.novanatural.com/baby-toddler/sturdy-stool) - she didn't know what it was for 'til she saw herself in the bathroom mirror brushing her teeth last night

    Not so sure about yet:

    * Bilibo (http://magiccabin.com/Bilibo_p1038.html)
    * "Souvenir" Teddy Bear from Macy's Herald Square (from DH & me, courtesy of SIL who works in the City)
    * Owl Wristlet (from my mom)

    Miss:

    * Disney Princess "Baby Cinderella" soft-body/vinyl head doll (from cousin-in-law)
