Default Help me decorate DDs nursery

Trying to get started on the nursery for DD. Found this sheet at PBK, which I really like:

    http://www.potterybarnkids.com/produ...rsery-sheeting

Thinking of silver/gray walls with purple/lavender accents. Probably won't get the matching skirt for this, likely just plain white, unless I decide on a white crib.

Not sure if I want to go with a theme for accessories, or just stick with this color scheme.

Any suggestions or websites for wall art or other decor that would match?

Any thoughts on furniture finish? I'm not really a fan of white furniture, but not sure if anything else would look right with this color scheme.

Any thoughts, suggestions, or other input welcome. I'm not attached to this bedding, so if you have seen something else in similar colors, I would happily take a look. Not married to the idea of these colors, either, just don't want pink or anything too baby. Would like a decor that will grow with her.

ETA: meant to put this in the baby bedding forum. Can mod please move?

I like that bedding! Floral without being fussy. It has a bit of a folk art feel to it. I think it would look good with a white, or medium to dark wood crib. Silver or gray walls seem like a more modern direction. I think I'd go with a white crib with silver or gray walls.

Ohdeedoh is a good place for ideas. http://www.ohdeedoh.com/

I find it easier to decorate if I have some theme or unifying idea in mind. For my dd's nursery I went with enchanted garden. (Her sheets are a discontinued green pattern with monkeys and butterflies and tents and so on, I added a butterfly mobile and some whimsical flower and animal prints.). I love browsing Etsy for decorations.

ETA. If you wanted to go in a modern botanical direction, I like these: http://www.etsy.com/shop/KitzieG?section_id=6802827

Or something like this if you like more whimsy: http://www.etsy.com/listing/85983527...ge=9&ga_facet=

I found these dahlia vinyl wall decals: http://www.etsy.com/listing/71681115...facet=handmade

And Etsy has lots of flower mobiles: http://www.etsy.com/listing/61306064...4099495_mobile. Or http://www.etsy.com/listing/72545191...facet=handmade

    Catherine--
Thanks for the links. I really like the botanical prints and the wall decals.

Makes me excited to start putting this together!

Glad you like them. There are tons of mobiles on Etsy. I ended up making one based on some ideas I got going through Etsy (wooden branch with butterflies punched from card stock--didn't really save any money but it was fun and easy and I got to pick my card stock colors and prints in person at the store so I could see the colors next to other decor items).

Given the things you liked, a mobile like this http://www.etsy.com/listing/81957099...ewed_this_item might be more your thing? You can always ask Etsy sellers to do custom work, almost all of them will, so you could pick the colors.

I think that color scheme would also look really pretty with black furniture. I saw this page in the PBK catalogue and just stopped on it immediately. So beautiful! It would also look good with a shot of sky blue accessories.

I love the idea of black furniture. Much more my style. Especially if it's stuff I want her to use for a while. Thanks for the thought. Also, like the sky blue. Will definitely keep that in mind.
