    Default Nightlight?

The baby will be in our room for a year or so. The only available outlet for a nightlight is behind the crib and partially blocked by the mattress.

How necessary IS a nightlight anyway? I will most likely be getting up and out of the room for feedings, etc so my hubby can sleep. There are streetlights enough and will keep some changing stuff in the other room. Would a nightlight be smarter out there and not in the bedroom?

    TIA!!

It is not necessary and everyone will sleep better without one. I needed one the first few weeks to get baby latched on breastfeeding but quickly learned to do it without. I always nursed in bed- no way was I leaving a warm comfy spot!! Dh would even bring the baby to me for feedings when baby was no longer in our room (parenting is a team effort and both deserve to be sleep deprived ). We also learned to diaper in the dark after not too long too!
