    Default Birthday cupcake for 1yo

I would like to make a birthday cupcake for DD who will be turning 1. We'll be serving cake at the party, but I'd like to make her her own little cupcake without all the sugar. The problem is that I don't have a lot of time and I am a cooking/baking novice. Can anyone suggest an idea for an easy, relatively healthy cupcake or muffin recipe? I don't need it to be particularly nutritious or healthy, but I think prepackaged cake mixes are way too sweet. If I can't come up with anything, I may just give her a tiny piece of the cake we will be serving since at least it has some real strawberries in the filling. TIA!

You could try something like this:

Basically just a quick bread muffin. You can control the amount of sugar easily.

This is great! It looks pretty painless to make and she loves bananas and strawberries. I think I will make a batch and freeze the rest. They will be great to pull out for meals/snacks. Hopefully I can use the Multigrain Mix from TJs that I already have. Or do I need specifically whole wheat flour? In any case, thanks for this recipe!
