That's pretty much what I do. (I do the roast, a can of beef broth, a bottle of beer and an envelope of onion soup mix). It is delicious!

OK..waiting on rolls (DH went out to get them). I'm a little nervous as the meat didn't fall apart. Had it on low for about 6 hours. I'll put the onions on when he gets home.
