coughing spasms

Ladies-
It is almost 1130p here on the west coast. I have been coughing pretty much non-stop since about 8pm. I have done tea (with honey); honey spoonful; guacosfamine (sp- too tired to look it up, but it is approved) or similar ingredient that is safe for pregnant women; and throat drops.

My cough will not stop- I need to sleep. In the morning, I will be seeing the doc..... what can I do???????

Hang out in the bathroom with the hot water running full blast in the shower to make an instant steam room. I second the recommendation for Vick's vapor rub. I don't think there is any science saying it works, but there is something about the smell that is soothing to me. A neti pot (make sure you use distilled water in it though) might help. Sleep propped upright to make everything drip down to prevent congestion.

I'm sorry you are going through this. Being sick while preggo is really hard. Hope you feel better soon.

So sorry you're going through this!

I had the same experience from about weeks 10-15. Yes, an entire month! Went through a lot of pantyliners from constant coughing! I never could get it to stop, just had to ride it out.
