    Default Breast pain

For the last 2 months my breasts have hurt when pushed on, even a gentle push. Not near the nipple more the whole breast tissue area. It feels like when you have PMS but it is ALL THE TIME. It is on both breasts. Any ideas?

Very common. Looking for treatment ideas? For my patients with breast pain, I usually recommend starting with eliminating caffeine, then try vit e, vit b6, or evening primrose oil supplements. Can take 2 months or more to see an effect though.

Thanks! I am 40 -- wonder if it is menopause signs? I drink 3 cups of green tea a day for caffine. I will slowly wean myself off that and see it it helps. It is most annoying when I am with the kids snuggling -- if they just bump my breast it really hurts. The rest of the daily activities I rarely notice it (but no one is touching my breasts at work )

    Thanks again for your reply!

That was a very quick diagnosis and treatment plan, girls! sntm, btw, I saw the DH of your med school friend at the gym the other day- and he remembered us from meeting them at the rest stop, lol!

I'm glad you responded with real advice, b/c I was going to ask the OP if she was expecting!

    Are you on BC?
That's what happens to me among other not fun things when I take hormonal BC. It hurts worse than when I'm pregnant!

Definitely see an uptick in perimenopausal women (though it can be years befor your periods actually stop)

Glad to help - it can be really annoying, makes me wish it was easier to make better

mine have been in significant pain and have been discharging, no prolactinoma etc. Had MRI, tons of blood work.

I would love to hear advice on what to do, other than to be told to "deal" with it.

It is getting really hard to deal with, lately I have been dreaming of having them cut off.
