FTM - car seat cover question

I apologize in advance for my silly question - but should I wash the cover seat cover and insert before the baby arrives? I realize that I must wash all his clothes, towels, bedding, etc.....

Nope, you don't have to wash any of it. I'd maybe air it out for a bit, if it smells funny. And play with the harness to really figure out how it works, so that way when you DO need to take it out to wash, you'll be comfortable with it (check the manual for sure, but taking pictures of how it looks out of the box, specifically the back of the seat and how the harness is attached can help a lot when it comes time to put it all back together).
